Sleeping Masks

Sleeping Masks- LIFE SMART by Carrie Dorr

Since the Korean Beauty craze hit the scene a few years ago with it’s 8 step routines, everything from sheet masks, essences, serums and cleansers packed with all different types of ingredients and unique consistencies have been filling store shelves. Although multiple step routines aren’t for everyone, one step in a typical K-Beauty routine that everyone can definitely jump on board for are sleeping masks.

These deeply nourishing overnight treatments are designed to give your skin an extra boost while you get your nightly 8 hours. What makes them different and more beneficial than the normal hydrating mask that you leave on for 30 minutes or so is that these masks are designed to be left on overnight so that the actives have time to fully absorb and work their magic for a longer period of time. Sleeping masks are also great for those who want to add more actives into their routine, but don’t necessarily have the time to add multiple steps.

Here are a few of our favorite toxin-free options that will have you fresh faced by morning.

Josh Rosebrook Advanced Hydration Mask, $38

An AILLEA favorite, this little jar of blue goodness can be used daily to elevate the appearance and vitality of the skin. Indian Senna Seed, also known as ‘botanical hyaluronic acid,’ contains polysaccharides, which are responsible for the skin’s ability to hold in moisture. Wear this overnight to lock in moisture, plump, improve clarity and increase circulation.

Tata Harper Moisturizing Mask, $115

This rich overnight moisture mask is perfect for dehydrated or stressed skin that is dry, rough, and showing signs of fine lines and wrinkles. It contains Arnica, Calendula, Milk Thistle and Meadowsweet which are all beautiful herbs for the skin that have amazing anti inflammatory properties to help combat redness and irritation.

Marie Veronique Micronutrient + Hydro Mask, $135

Packed full of antioxidants from green tea, B Vitamins, and Sodium PCA this mask helps to rejuvenate dull, lackluster skin while restoring the moisture barrier which is essential for the basis of all skin health. We love this one after a night out.

Honest Hazel Eye Gels, $12

These refreshing under-eye treatments reduce puffiness, brighten dark circles, firm fine lines and hydrate the delicate under-eye skin. Cactus collagen improves circulation, Vitamin C and Vitamin E smooth fine lines and wrinkles and Arbutin combats dark circles. Wear them overnight and wake up to bright, happy under-eyes.
