Stretch + Recover Workouts
Besides being FUN, partner stretching really works! Check out this quick video clip of 3 stretches you can do with a loved one.
Static stretching involves relaxing in to a position and holding it for a period of time. Different from the Dynamic stretch series posted earlier where you are moving through positions. I find both techniques beneficial for increasing mobility. This series covers inner thighs, hamstrings, hips, quads, shoulders + lower back. Even better when you incorporate some breathwork. Enjoy!
For years I've dabbled with foam rolling but just recently I've incorporated it in to my daily routine. It makes a notable difference in my muscle recovery. Here is one of my favorite sequences!
I've really been getting in to dynamic stretching. Each of these exercises is a dynamic stretch, meaning it increases flexibility through movement, rather than by simply holding a position. Try this sequence after a workout or at the end of the day...it feels really good!
